Kumadori Ball, Red Kumadori SB-25KD01

~The first ball that combines tradition and playfulness~

This soccer ball was created to bring excitement to children who are still too old for soccer, by making them realize that "kicking is fun!" and "you can become friends with the ball!"

The most distinctive feature of this ball is its design, which uses "kumadori," a makeup technique used in the traditional Japanese performing art of Kabuki, which exaggerates the appearance of muscles and veins, symbolically expressing the personalities and characteristics of the characters.

The design of the ball uses a style of makeup called "sujiguma," which is used for characters on the side of justice who possess superhuman strength and exude intense anger.

This project was born out of a collaboration with Japan Heritage, an NPO run by high school students that promotes traditional Japanese culture.
I want to make Kabuki more accessible to younger children.
With this in mind, we offer a new way to learn and have fun while experiencing tradition.

■ Airless soccer ball that's authentic

A mysterious ball made from urethane foam that requires no air.
The appearance, hardness, weight, and bounce performance are the same as a conventional soccer ball, but there is no need to worry about air leaks or punctures, making it a ball that is kind to the environment and kind to parents.
To achieve the look of a soccer ball, high-frequency processed panels are used to replicate the grooves and thickness of the panels.

■Environmentally friendly soccer ball <br>Hand-sewn soccer balls do not use materials that emit CO2 during production or transportation, such as rubber tubing and polyester thread and cloth, which are essential for making them, thereby significantly reducing the CO2 generated during raw material procurement.
Because there is no need to vent or inflate the air, there are fewer defects during the production process and once the product is in the hands of the customer, resulting in an extremely low waste rate.


■ Reliable quality <br>The ball materials and ink used are safe and have passed the standards of various safety tests, so they can be used safely by small children.
It can be used safely even in homes without an air pump.
